Dr. Robert Morea  -PT, DPT, OCS, MTC, CSCS, PRRT & AAT Practitioner

Dr. Robert Morea, the founder and clinical director of The Physical Therapy Doctor, P.C., grew up in Middle Village, Queens, NY where he became an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.  In St. Francis Prep High School he played varsity baseball and junior varsity basketball, and achieved the MVP and Student Athlete Awards.

He later attended Adelphi University before transferring to Touro College where he completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy.  After graduating he worked in some of the top institutions in the New York area: NYU Medical Center, RUSK Institute, LIJ/ North Shore Health System, and Island Sports Physical Therapy of Glen Cove.

During the next 5 years he married and completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy with the University of St. Augustine, Florida.  He is also the proud father of 2 little boys.

Dr. Morea then passed the exam to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.  He is also a Certified Manual Therapist, which required 8 post-graduate courses and 21 exams (oral, written, and practical ) to become certified.  He is now able to use these advanced techniques of myofascial and soft tissue manipulation, as well as joint mobilization (including thrust), to treat all aspects of the body (spine, arms, legs).  He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. 

Dr. Morea specializes in treating Chronic Pain using very gentle techniques to achieve lasting results.  He has been trained in Primal Reflex Release Technique and Associative Awareness Technique which help patients with Chronic Pain, lower back pain, neck pain, headaches and unresolved nerve and muscle pain achieve amazing results otherwise not obtainable, by balancing the Autonomic (automatic) Nervous System and all the body systems it effects.
